When Your Power Supply Gets Noisy
Switch-mode power supplies produce ripple — a small AC component riding on the DC output. As capacitors age, ripple increases. When ripple exceeds the tolerance of downstream electronics, you get unexplained resets, communication errors, and analog signal noise.
